Funny—when I deleted LinkedIn yesterday, they asked for a reason why. I selected "Other" from the list and hit Continue. But they insisted on a textual clarification of that choice. So I wrote the only word that they deserved:

No.

Bravo!! As you know, we share this view. You certainly give it honour by expressing about it the way you do so poetically, Chris. 💖

Sometimes all it takes is a “No” and it scares the living daylights out of them. Proves the tyrannical behavior is born from cowards.

Absolutely. Throws a wrench in their supposed power.

Everyone must listen to these words right now, hear them, digest them, and then, take heed.

Wow! An extraordinary piece and 'No' is the enforced fork in the road of the will of the tyrant, from there possibilities open and freedom exists.

Indeed we have been "outsourcing"our thinking. We must say no to that in order to say yes to that which is higher in us. Your words are very poetic and so truthful.

Immediately after I read this, I came across an advertisement for a nearby musical group named Dr. NO pretty sweet I thought. My friends liked it. So I may have to check em out.

The initials of my name are N.O. which definitely coincides with my persona being that I’ve always been fiercely independent, and I have always rejected any form of injustice or bullying energy toward any and all who are less accustomed to saying No for themselves. It’s a thing.. and as a woman I find many, who do not appreciate this. Thankfully, my energy is not as rebellious as it used to be and over the years I’ ve cultivated some diplomacy and peace. I fully comprehend and am committed to advocating for love, kindness, and autonomy. I’ve discovered the importance of valuing my energy, which has taught me to say no gracefully. I’m vibing with what you have to say ,Chris Youngblood. Meeting you was a pleasure.

"how long must the slave wait? .... how long must one keep repeating the same mistakes with the same people?" i love this so much, ALSO, this is a trip. i doubt this will surprise you but last night i was going through several spoken word pieces and reading them out loud, deciding which to perform tonight. One of them I had the word "No" i there several times, and it'd be said on its own, id go off on something and then "No." repeat, etc. I remember having a slight fear around it, almost like "is me saying no in public going to trigger the audience/the men in the audience?" that sounds batshit insane, but at the same time it doesn't at all - especially when "No" has been removed from being an option before, whether perceived, or in some cases genuine fact. thank you for this.

I love the synchronicity there and no, it doesn't surprise me, however, it's still beautiful. I hope you read that one tonight. It won't trigger men who are about freedom and do no harm. Yes, sometimes the false perception of that option being removed is the hardest part because it's on us to say No and break free of whatever pain is being inflicted. I know you know this. Thanks for telling me about your poem, that's really cool and I'd love to hear it sometime.

When I refer to the option of no being removed, I’m talking about cases of somewhat morbid violence where it actually was not an option- but with those situations like imprisonment or rape cast aside, then yes, of course one has the ability to say no. Hence me having moved across the country to duck mandates and other bs laws 🤣
