Bravo! Was this from personal experience? It felt very real. This is my holiday experience with in-laws written up beautifully. So many opportunities to bite my tongue, still my face, imagine horrifying yet outrageous things befalling the Cluster B narcissist rat bags, while I endeavor to endure.

There is definitely some truth in this story. I’d like to keep those parts for myself. Other parts are extrapolations of conversations and the head space of a guy who is unhappy and looks around at the fakery of his life and the people he interacts with. I’ll just say there’s no love loss. I like how you wrote about your in laws there, nicely done. Next time you’re with them on holiday, keep this story close for laughs.
